Drawing inspiration from the artistry of chinoiserie, this intimate 70th birthday celebration at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong was conceived as a garden of symbolism and personal meaning. Cranes representing longevity, flourishing peonies, and monkeys honouring the client’s zodiac were woven into a painterly landscape, with motifs carried through the backdrop, cake and stationery. Rich reds, layered greens and subtle gold accents brought warmth and depth to the setting, while an interactive message wall invited guests to leave their blessings — transforming a decorative feature into a lasting collection of memories.
